An art space that breathes with the wind

The art space "Kazemachiminato" was born in March 2025, a five-minute walk along the seaside road from the harbor. A total of 50 people, including artists and volunteers from the island and beyond, renovated an old private house and warehouse that is over 100 years old. The calm Seto Inland Sea spreads out before one's eyes. The comfortable sea breeze gently passes through the beams, earthen floors, and other features of the old minka. Visitors can take a break, enjoy a cup of coffee, look at art, and take a break while feeling the relaxed island time. It is a center for exchange that naturally sparks conversation among those present. During the Setouchi Triennale fall period, the museum will be open on all days except Thursdays.
