Naoshima
Island Time Spot
Island Time Spot
At this special spot, only revealed at low tide—make a wish.
A path leads from the surf to the islet, passing through a tunnel of trees. On the side of the path, you will be greeted by small fish such as baby pufferfish. When we entered the hut, we found several rocks piled up on top of each other. Perhaps they were for a wish. Behind the hut is a rocky area where you can view the nearby Teshima. The rarity of being accessible only at low tide, combined with the slightly abandoned appearance, makes it a mysterious spot that intrigues travelers. When visiting, please note that it is impossible to return when the tide is high.
