Island Time Spot
Treasured items lovingly passed on to those who truly need them
Because of the remote island environment, where things are hard to find and hard to dispose of, we want to make Teshima carefully used daily utensils available for use by both migrants and tourists. With this in mind, three young people opened the donation-based antique store "Miruku" in July 2024. Inside a shed that was once used as a milk collection center, old kimonos, Japanese dolls, clothes, tableware, and other antiques are lined up in a row. The store is unmanned and open to anyone at any time. It is a place where the spirit of taking good care of things is passed on along with your favorite items.
